  The purpose of this forum is to discuss examples of creativity by contemporary individuals in a variety of fields and share information that will enhance the learning experience of fellow students. This organization is devoted to promoting creativity through a series of talks by experts in a variety of fields. Use the SORT BY feature on the right side of the page and select INSPIRING Review the talks and select one that appeals to you. YOUR POST SHOULD BE ON AN ORIGINAL TOPIC. Do not duplicate another student’s post. Take a look at the topics already posted on this forum. Any post on the same program as another student’s post will receive reduced credit. Post early to have the greatest selection of topics. Format: Go to the TED.com website. Use the Sort feature and select one talk from the Inspiring category. Make sure another student has not already posted on this talk reviewing the titles listed below. Watch the talk. Use the title of the talk as the first line of your post. Paragraph one: (10-15 sentences) Summarize the talk. What are the main points. Give examples. What conclusions did the speaker make? Paragraph two: (10-15 sentences) Critique the talk. Give your evaluation of the speaker’s ideas. What do you think were the best ideas? What were the weak points? Are there any relevant points that the speaker neglected to raise? Why do you think this speaker’s ideas are creative? What is innovative about their thinking? Why did you select this talk? How do the ideas relate to you? Make sure you include first person statements such as: “I selected this talk because… I think the speaker’s best idea is….I think this speaker’s ideas are creative because….” “I think the speaker’s weakest point was…” ” I think the speaker neglected to point out that….We want to hear your evaluation of the talk, the pros and cons. Put some thought into your response. Guidelines: POSTS MUST BE ORIGINAL. DO NOT DUPLICATE THE SAME SUBJECT AS ANOTHER STUDENT’S POST USE THE TWO PARAGRAPH FORMAT: APPROXIMATELY 10-15 SENTENCES EACH PARAGRAPH (No lists or bullet points.) TOTAL WORD COUNT OF ENTIRE POST : 350-450
