Please contact me with questions and help finding sources, I already have found a few you can look at! This topic will need AT LEAST ONE PRIMARY SOURCE and ONE OTHER SOURCE explaining how Chinese doctors adapted to Western Medical Practices. By the early 20th century surgery was becoming very popular throughout the world, even in China. However the Chinese doctors still didn’t 100% believe in Western Medical Practices, Surgery proved to be efficient and effective but Chinese doctors incorporated different Chinese practices such as acupuncture. Instead of being prescribed a ton of morphine after a surgery, in China you would be prescribed herbs and acupuncture, a healthy alternative to painkillers. This research paper will involve intensive research on Western Medical influences on China in 1900-1940, and how the Chinese adapted to these new practices, most importantly surgery.
