Chinese Advancements in Pharmacology

Title: Chinese Advancements in Pharmacology Format of paper is as follows: Introduction (roadmap of the paper): Topic/scope and thesis statement Research question Should answer this question with the thesis statement Thesis statement should include, time period, geographical location (As in the location in which the material within the paper is occurring) & brief evidences backed by sources TOPIC: This papers focus is about the advancements China has made in the science of Pharmacology. The science of Pharmacology is a branch of biology that emphasizes on drug action and application on living beings. The core research question being analyzed and answered in this paper is what are the major advancements in the science of pharmacology that China has made to the rest of the scientific world? This vast topic of research opens up several other underlying questions; how are those advancements in pharmacology, made by the Chinese, affecting western science currently? Was China able to meet the level of western pharmacology and if so how? This research will allow the reader to educate themselves on the progression of pharmacology throughout history based on contributions made by the Chinese. This also segues into the subject of how Chinese contributions to pharmacology contrasts to western contributions, if one chooses to juxtapose the two. The time frame being concentrated on is the turn of the twentieth century all the way to modern day. This time frame allows the research to evaluate how the developments made to the science of pharmacology are affecting modern day medicine. Should be for about ½ page (Below you will find information regarding “trends of scholarship”) Trends of Scholarship: First trend of scholarship: Post world war II, included the following three aspects: Scientific exploration, transplantation, & local establishment Second trend of scholarship: In the 1970’s and was focused on the structure of power and identified as the impetus to the one way transition of knowledge. Third trend of scholarship: In the 1990’s and it focused in reciprocal and circulatory constitution of scientific knowledge and practice.
