Students will identify the aspects of Management and Organizational Behavior that most resonated with them during their project and throughout the course. Students must discuss examples from their team collaboration as well as interaction with the community partner, community members, and/or other individuals they encountered during the course of the engagement.

Papers should integrate theory and course concepts in analyzing students’ observations. Concepts can include chapter topics such as team dynamics, leadership, motivation, culture, personality, power, teams, decision making, communication, perception, etc. Incorporate those lessons into a critical observation of students’ team-based interactions. Some suggestions (but are not limited to):

• What aspects of the team project were most challenging for you?
• What did you learn about organizational behavior from your community partner? Your team?
• What individual behaviors, processes, or characteristics did students observe?
• Did interaction with team members meet your expectations of participation? If not, how could it have been different? If so, why?
• How did the experience assist in your understanding of organizational and/or team dynamics?
Students must also reflect on topics of social justice and the overall outcomes of completing community-based service learning.

NOTE:
just make things up.
i volunteered in ymca bayview
in additional files i have attached information about it

Specific details about the community partner must be discussed – give examples of WHA you did and HOW you did it. Reflect on how you have grown and learned from this project.

Finally, discuss how your learnings will help you in current or future roles. For example, what have you learned from this class that students will take with you to your job, volunteer activities, or other organizations? What areas have you grown the most in during this class? Where do you want to continue to grow?

Paper Requirements
The paper will be no more than 6 pages in length (including references), double-spaced, 12 pt. font in Times New Roman. I prefer that students use APA style, but you can select another style as long as you are consistent throughout (abstract and table of contents is NOT required, but a reference page is). It is expected that students will utilize a minimum of two external sources in addition to the course text and use proper citing (see below). Sources can be articles students have read about particular OB topics, textbooks used in other courses, video-clips, journal articles, magazine or online articles, or other citations that are applicable to the OB concepts you speak to in your paper. Use Harvard’s Guide to Using Sources website if you need assistance with this (see Canvas homepage for link).

It is acceptable to write from the first person, as this paper is an exercise in reflection. However, please pay special attention to use of grammar and tense – for those of students needing assistance, I highly recommend using the Writing Center to review your first draft. Grammarly.com is also a great resource. I recommend using the Purdue Owl website for specific formatting examples (see Canvas Homepage for link). Points will be deducted for errors.
