In the absence of party choice, the Rome I Regulation provides a framework by which the most appropriate law to govern the contractual dispute is ascertained. Critically examine the appropriateness of this framework.

Critically evaluate the overall effectiveness of the Rome II Regulation in identifying the applicable law in non-contractual obligation disputes.

Any excess word count will incur a penalty of 5 marks per 1000 words.
