Dance critique 1- Swan Lake
After watching the entire video, please submit your dance critique. 1) Pick two dance pieces that you liked or disliked and critique in detail. (Provide the time code from the top of video. Ex. 3:35-5:04 or 1:02:34 – 1:04:03) 2) Identify the 5 of dance elements on each dance pieces. Pick two Time elements, two Space elements and one Energy element to specify(you need to specify the elements of dance with both the main category and sub-category. Ex. Space-transition or Time-Tempo). 3) Do not list the same sub-category of elements multiple times and do not specify the same sub-category of elements in both pieces. 4) Personal reflection(minimum 150 words required. Do not repeat the elements factor you already mentioned in the identification of elements. 5) Double-spaced, font 12, submit with the Word document required. 6) No “whole dance” or “Entire piece” accepted as a time code. 7) Do not include any researched materials, quotes, or articles regarding this dance piece (this will incur a point deduction). 8) DO NOT describe the story or ballet company background information. I want to hear what you felt and see through the ballet production.
