You should include all of the following in your text, but can choose to incorporate additional information so as to provide a more complete response: Informational Introduction: a. Decide on a particular time period in the economic history of America, or of another country or region. b. Define the time period that you chose with the help of statistical data, factual information, historical accounts. c. Briefly define the event that hastened or ushered that tem period, if any. Theoretical Question: a. Use economic concepts acquired in this class to explain the event(s) that described. You must explain the impact(s) of that event on the country, the region or the population that you chose. You can use graphs or equations to relate the theory that you chose. Normative Question: Using the knowledge acquired in this class, make a qualitative assessment of the impact of the event on the country or region that you chose. You may address the following, but can decide to address more questions: o “Which group was particularly affected by the events of that time period?” o “How difficult, or how good was life for the population during that time period.” o “What do you believe was the role of the government or of any other group in hastening the cause of the problem, or in ushering the prosperous era, if any?” Describe qualitatively what you believe were the actions of the government or of any other group that helped to solve the issue(s), if any. o “How was the issue resolved, or why did the prosperous era end?” Propose a recommended course of action to address the issue(s) related to that event that you believe would have been preferable to the ones that were enacted.
