Here are the basic guidelines for the second paper. Following these guidelines will result in a passing grade, but not necessarily an A.
• Must be at least 4 pages and no more than 5 pages • Must be in MLA format with a Works Cited Page o Must include the stories you discuss as primary sources as well as two academic sources (preferably from Galileo)
o You are free to use others. But review the Sources PPT and ensure you are not using prohibited sources.
• Must include quotes and in-text citations from all sources used o Block Quotes are off limits • Must include a thesis statement that deals with one of the below topics in some way, shape or form • Must follow basic essay format • Must be in include a title o Title of the story does not work o Essay 2 or Story Analysis also will not work o Be creative! • Must be submitted by November 30 • This essay is worth 25% of your grade. We can mold the ideas later. • What historical contexts are important? What audiences? Intentions or purposes?
