Senior Investment Broker Alison Page is interested in the company you reviewed in your memo. She would like you to email additional information about the stock of the company you selected for A4 to her and your team. She specifically asks you to include the stock’s: price, 52-week high/low, beta and other data points you feel are important for selecting a stock for Manuel Rodriguez’s conservative portfolio. This information can be easily obtained from NYSE’s website using the following path:

1) NYSE.com
2) Insert company name in “Find a Quote or Search” (upper right hand corner)-make sure you are spelling the company name correctly
3) Select the 1st option – symbol: company name; in the chart that pops up, you will find trading data including:
-Last price (but be sure to use use the last price at the end of most recent trading day and state the closing price for that day)
-52-week high/low (provide dates)
-Beta

As with a formal briefing email, be sure to include an introduction that summarizes Ms. Page’s request and a brief description of your company. Highlight information about the company’s stock in the body of your memo, and note whether this new information supports your previous recommendation in the introduction (briefly) and conclusion.

Your email should:

Be single-spaced, with appropriate line spaces between paragraphs.
Use 12-point font (Ariel or Times New Roman).
Include a strong subject line.
Begin with a formal salutation (Dear Ms. Page,).
Include appropriate format and headings.
Briefly state why you are writing the email and describe the company/stock and its suitability (or not) for Mr. Rodriguez in the introduction.
Specify date(s) associated with time-sensitive data (i.e. “The stock’s closing price was $32.04 per share on October 20, 2018.”)
Close summarizing your recommendation and offering further information or assistance.
Include a formal closing and signature block that includes your name, position (Analyst), company (B300 Financial Advisors), email address and phone number.
Use appropriate grammar, direct language and correct spelling.
