Cancer—it’s such a simple word, yet it inspires so much fear. In fact, in a recent survey conducted by the American Cancer Society, a majority of participants said they believed that the risk of dying of cancer is increasing. The good news is that the opposite is true. You have less chance of dying from cancer today than people did years, even decades, ago. The even better news is that it is estimated that up to 75 percent of cancer deaths are caused by lifestyle behaviors that you can control. For this 2 page paper examine how cancer occurs and what behaviors you can change to reduce your risk. Then be sure to include in your paper the following information: 1) choose a cancer type (i.e. lung, breast, brain, etc.), 2) identify 3 foods that increase changes of being diagnosed with cancer or play a negative role in cancer development, and 3) identify 3 foods that can reduce your risk of that particular cancer. Conclude your paper by examining your own eating habits and formulate an eating plan that includes the most appropriate foods to alleviate the conditions reviewed over the past two weeks.
