DISCUSSION 2:  Issues and Programs for Older Adults

 

Empowerment, safety, and social connections are factors that can motivate older adults to participate in physical activity. Explain how these aspects are addressed by active older adult programs available in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Include at least THREE peer-reviewed articles (2012 and later) that have used interventions to increase physical activity in older adults and discuss the motivating factors they used and their degree of success. Include citations in the text using a standard reference format (AMA, APA, Vancouver…et) and a corresponding reference list (6 points)

Discuss limitations in the success of using certain motivating factors.
