This week we are going to focus on reproductive health, for this DB we will focus specifically maternal health. Compare the maternal mortality rate in your state to rest of the national rates. Then compare it to another industrialized country of your choosing. What are your initial thoughts on these findings?
If you reside outside the US, compare your country’s maternal mortality rate to the US and another country. Do you think the key findings from the NPR article are an accurate representation of current maternal mortality issues in the US?Why or why not? 
Your Action Item –Is there a policy, law, politician/activist, program, or even country that you believe can improve or has improved maternal health either by (1) reducing maternal mortality rates, (2) improving rates among high-risk populations, or (3)change our approach/perspective to maternal health.Share what you find!
