Medical Facilities Departmental Process

If you were assigned dueling tasks from the Chief of the medical facility. Your plan was to utilize both of your employees and delegate the tasks with oversight from you, however you discover some interesting dynamics about your employees named John and Mike. Mike is a new employee; he has been on the job for 6 months. John has worked at the company for 20 years. Both John and Mike have the same job title and seemed to work well together. In assigning tasks, you learn that John likes to do things the way they have always been done and no one has stood up to him in the past. In fact, John does not welcome the assigned task and feels that the task should be passed to someone else with his oversight. Mike tries hard to follow the facilities policies and procedures. Mike is a very quiet and doesn’t talk much. Mike is always at work 10 minutes early, but you discover he is irritated because John is always late but Mike normally covers for John. Today, you plan to meet with Mike and John to provide the details regarding the delegation of tasks.

On this particular morning, John is 20 minutes late. When John finally appears, Mike tells him he’s not going to cover for him anymore. John says, “Hey, I clocked in. I’ve been doing this for years. As long as you don’t say anything, nobody will ever know. Just shut up and do your job.” Mike and John start shouting at each other. You walk in just as it looks like John is going to hit Mike. You send them both to their cubicles to cool down. Mike is very frustrated and comes to you with his concern. Expectations Develop a 3 page paper that will include the following: 1.
