You should be able to identify how the counsellor is engaging the client, if they are asking appropriate questions and observe if this increase or decreases the client’s engagement.

The following points should also be considered.
a) Which of the microskills, and/or features of microskills was the counsellor effective at using? How did the client respond to indicate that it was effective?
b) Which of the microskills, and/or features of microskills proved to be challenging for the counsellor? How did the client respond to indicate that it was less effective?
c) Describe any changes you see in the client through the session. d) What values or beliefs could be challenged while working with this client?
