This essay should be about three to four pages long (without including title page and list of cited references). a] Read the New York Times article, “In Narrow Decision, Supreme Court Sides With Baker Who Turned Away Gay Couple” (see the folder Recent Press Articles of Interest). Briefly summarize the case. b] Use as many specific concepts and contents (no vague reference to the course content accepted) from this course to develop your argument either in favor or against that Supreme Court ruling. c] Can you identify any direct and/or indirect violence (see the textbook definition[s]) associated with this conflict? You must use the Chicago Manual of Style to cite your written sources (including the textbook) and list your references cited at the end of your essay. The three specific questions asked (a, b, and c) must be answered.
