Introduction (200 words)

Section 1 – Current Practice Experience (800 words)
From your experience have you noticed a difference in your treatment in the third year as opposed to the first two. How have they reacted to the degree practitioner student? Supplement your discussion with theory and publicised findings in literature.

– The client has experienced that they are expected to work more independently as it is expected that they have a greater knowledge. However, people commonly ask the difference between a 2 year and a 3 year course and ask whether it feels like a diploma but stretched over 3 years. The client is expected to be autonomous.

Section 2 – Enhanced scope of practice (800 words)
What are the opinions of staff within practice towards the enhanced scope of practice and how do you think this will change the shape of the future NHS service provided by ODP. Supplement your discussion with theory and publicised findings in literature.

– The client has said that some practitioner ask what these enhanced skills are and whether we will be able to use them. The client has enjoyed learning advanced skills such as; Canulation, Cathertisation, Prepping and Drapping, Suture cutting and advanced life saving skills. The client feels these will enable them to enhance patient care.

Section 3 – The future of the degree practitioner (800 words)
Discuss how the degree will impact on your career and how current practitioners have reacted to you. Can you offer reasonable arguments to support your thoughts?

From the evidence you provide in the discussions above can you conclude what everything might mean for your development and career, or even what path you may develop towards
