As per the course requirements and the syllabus, this subject involves a hands-on project that engages learners in a project of their choice. Major concepts and applied skills are incorporated and developed within the context of the chosen project, preferably related to the learner’s current or prospective business focus. Drawing on their experiences in the subject assignments, learners are encouraged to use the electronic resources of the e-library effectively as a major business tool.
The project will be a rolling wave concept consisting of four parts (assignments), this means that each next assignment will be based and dependent on the previous one.

Assignment One:
Demonstrate ability to initiate a new project through project proposal.
Select a project – preferably related to your current or prospective business focus – and provide the following:
· Your project as a business case
· How your project is selected (organization project selection criteria)
· Define objectives, goals and requirements
· Preliminary scope statement
· High level work breakdown structure (WBS)
Assignment Two:
Base on your previous work in assignment one
Provide the following:
· Detailed WBS
· Formulate your project team
· Provide a time management plan (schedule) with critical path using CPM based on resource pool and resource allocation
· Estimate costs and budget
Assignment Three:
Based on your previous work in assignment one and two
Provide the following:
· Develop Human Resource plan
· Develop quality plan
· Develop communication plan
· Develop risk plan
· Develop procurement plan
Final project: (for final Exam)
Based on your previous work in assignment one, two and three
Provide the following:
· Develop the project poster
· Integrate all project plans
