Title: Research paper on Case Studies and Procurement Process
Length: No more than 3,500 words (strictly) inclusive of text, table, and figures.
Requirements:
• Select three cases or good practice examples or procurement snap shots (or any combination of these) from your text book that had either similarities or differences or both with the purchase situations you studied in the organisations for your
Assignment1. Cases assigned for online discussion or study are excluded for Assignment 2.
• Write a research paper comparing the above cases or good practice examples in terms of their core problem and your suggested solutions. Reflect knowledge from these cases to the procurement processes of the organisations that you studied for your assignment 1.
The body of the essay should contain the following:
I. Introduction II. Case Studies: a. Compare and contrast (similarities or differences or both) the core problems. b. Compare and contrast (similarities or differences or both) your suggested solutions III. Implications of your knowledge gained from the above cases on the organisations of your Assignment
VI. Conclusion
Enclosure (if any). Do not copy any table from the text. Do not fax or email the assignments.
Suggestions for Assignments
− Use spell check and grammar check but do not solely rely on it.
− You must clearly acknowledge your sources, or else face the consequences of plagiarism. Please note that, a consistent citation/bibliographical method must be used in referencing any outside materials used in the assignments.
− You are strongly advised to back up your assignment on external device (USB) and in 2 copies on the hard drive, as you are typing it and to printout drafts as you go along. This means that if it is accidentally deleted in the final typing or the computer breaks down, a backup or earlier draft is available for submitting on time. Expect that something could go very wrong when you are writing your assignment so start early in order that any emergencies can be met within the time limit.
− Plan your work schedule with problems in mind. It is your responsibility to have your assignment in the right place at the right time in the right format to be submitted.
− Assignments will be marked in accordance with the requirements and other aspect
mentioned for the Assignments preparation and submission.
− Feedback will be provided in the marked assignments.
− Your commitment to actively pursuing your study program is expected in addition to weekly reading and careful planning and completion of all specified assessment tasks.
− Working systematically through the specified weekly resources, activities and tasks will provide you with the best preparation to complete the assignments/assessments/ examination successfully. To perform well in this course you should:
• read the prescribed chapter/s and complete associated questions and cases • read the topic notes • undertake the learning activities and work through assigned tasks • contribute to online discussions • meet all deadlines and assessment criteria for assessments.
− Maximum lengths will be strictly enforced. Any part of the assignment beyond the maximum length will not be marked and your answer may be marked as incomplete at that point.
