Order Description

For this assignment, conduct a deeper analysis of the organization to help you further identify challenges and opportunities. Once the analysis is complete, you can confidently assert a position for improvement that will ultimately increase the quality of patient care. Then, write a position paper with the following sections:

Section 1

Define the issue in your GAP and SWOT analyses. Note: You should be able to use you gap analysis and SWOT analysis assignments to guide the creation of Section 1. Remember to incorporate relevant feedback you received on those assignments when writing Section 1:
•Explain how the issue affects the organization and all of its stakeholders.
•Create a table which clearly shows the SWOT analysis. Relate the findings of your SWOT analysis to the organizational issue you are addressing.
•Explain your position for improvement and make sure it is based on research for best practices. ◾Explain the ethical, cultural, and best practices basis for the position. Base this on literature.

•Describe the possible effects to resolving the issue.
•Describe the likely consequences of failure to act on this issue.

Section 2

Further explain your position on the issue:
•Reflect on how advanced practice preparation has contributed to your position. Include evidence from the literature that supports your position.
•Identify collaborators and allies who can help you enact your quality improvement position.
•Analyze leadership and team-building strategies relevant to working with the identified allies and collaborators. Remember, leadership concepts can also include the following:
◾Critical thinking.
◾Decision making.
◾Effective communication.
◾Mentoring.
◾Coaching.
◾Teaching.
◾Problem solving.

•Advocate for strategies that promote quality improvement in health care policy within your organization or community.
•Conclude the position statement with a “Call to Action and Advocacy” that clearly summarizes who should do what and when to move the policy to the action and approval phase.

Written Requirements
•Written communication: Effectively integrate research into your paper, with correct format, grammar, punctuation, and mechanics. Ensure writing is free of errors that detract from the overall message.
•Formatting: Format resources and citations according to current APA style and formatting guidelines.

◾Write in third person.
◾Include a cover page, introduction, body, conclusion, and reference page.
◾Use APA level-1, -2, and -3 headings
•Conclude the position statement with a “Call to Action and Advocacy” that clearly summarizes who should do what and when to move the policy to the action and approval phase.

•Resources: Include a minimum of three recent peer-reviewed journal resources.
◾Make sure your other resources are from reputable sources.
•Length: Submit a paper of 3-5 double-spaced pages in length.
•Font: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.
