A private enterprise with HQ in Toronto, has sub-offices in many cities across the nation has recently changed ownership. The IT department is responsible for delivering networking services to a mixture of users: management, staff and guests and is bracing for 50% rise per year in network traffic/services over next two years. The new management who have inherited a dated infrastructure intend to modernize. A team of experts hired by senior management are of the view that a technology upgrade can help meet the needs of this growing setup and reduce costs. In order to educate the stake holders on the impact of emerging technologies on the future network upgrade, a small Task Force was set up who short listed the following four areas to understand and assess their impact:
1- Internet of Things
2- Network Function Virtualization , NFV 
3- Software Defined Networking, SDN
