I want this paper to be focused on female activists during the New Negro Renaissance (the Harlem Renascence). Society tends to focus on male activist rather than women activist. We see how male activist impacted the New Negro Renaissance, but how did women make an impact? I will be focusing on Georgia Douglas Johnson, Zora Neale Hurston and other black female activist (of the writers choosing). What was the role of a regular black woman during this time and how did these women break out of those roles and become more?
In total 3 female activist (2 that i picked and one of the writers choosing)
