Your culminating project for this class is to compile an annotated bibliography: a list of 6 sources on the topic that you have chosen to write about in your research paper. My topic is Chinese Culture. In this assignment, include 2 books available in print or online in the Foothill Library (not encyclopedias), 2 full-text periodical articles from Foothill Library databases, and 2 websites; for each source, write an MLA citation and a paragraph evaluating the source’s authority, accuracy, objectivity, currency, and relevance.
Criteria for Assessment
Relevance of information sources to selected topic 40 %
Annotations give detailed evaluations of each source 50 %
Correct MLA style 10 %
Note: Each of your six sources is eligible for 20 points for relevance, 25 points for a detailed annotation, and 5 points for correct MLA style. If you don’t include the required sources, you will automatically lose those points.
The project is worth 30% of your course grade.
