Architecture History focus on media age

The focus of this paper will be the important role of ergonomics, the study of people’s efficiency in working environment, in architectural and industrial design. The first case study to look at would be the Daciano da Costa a Portuguese designer. As a teacher and a pioneer in industrial design in Portugal, Daciano successfully demonstrated, how designers can apply ergonomics in everyday life, how to balance the aesthetic and efficiency in architecture design. The human interaction with built environment not only concern with its use but also the process of its construction. More recently, architects and designers has been using the notion of ergonomics to enhance the sustainability aspect of building, logic and arrangement were applied to buildings so that the proper operation of maintenance could efficiently apply. Due to the fact that this direction in computer aided design in architecture is heavily relied on logistic and pure logic, my argument sum ups to that in the near future, artificial intelligence and phantom computation will eventually exclude the role of human from the architectural design process. By then the main role of architects will be developing the computer programs and controlling the balance of aesthetic and its functionality.
