Research Paper: By reference to the views and arguments of Finnis and Rawls covered in this course, consider whether commercial surrogacy should be legalized in Singapore.
You should critically assess the soundness of the theories and locate their relevance in the local context.
Your word count (excluding the title page and footnotes) should not exceed 2000 words.
You are assessed on your analytical skill, originality, depth of argument, clarity of expression, structure and organisation, quality of research, and engagement of relevant course material.
Once you’re comfortable to deal with Finnis and Rawls theory, you then need to use the theories taught in class. You’re expected to apply those theories to commercial surrogation. For the avoidance of doubt, whilst you’re required to answer by reference specifically to the parts of Finnis’s and Rawls’s theories covered in this course (as opposed to the entirety of their writings many of which are not covered in this course), as this is a research assignment, you’re also required to demonstrate that you have done research.
