20 minute presentation that evaluates two key issues of social/political or policy driven importance impacting on a specific type of setting.
Appraise the socio-political context of competing for funding within the voluntary sector of counselling and psychotherapy.
The main subject to be covered is funding and the loss of funding which then leads to the need to introduce a charge for clients attending the service. The second key issue is the impact of the client having to pay for counselling if funding is cut.
The service is bereavement.
Critically evaluate how fighting for funding against other organisations can ultimately affect the continuation of the service, and the impact of loss of funding on the voluntary sector of counselling services, leading to clients needing to pay for the service.
