Contract Law: Karabo
Karabo intends to sell her house in Gaborone. He makes an advertisement in a local newspaper in the following terms: “offer for sale of a house:Plot No 346789 Gaborone.P500 000.00. My contact details are P.O.BOX 3456785 Gaborone, Telephone 3678217”. The following events take place:
The day the advertisement is out, Simbere visits Karabo at his house. Simbere proposes to pay P450 000.00 in full settlement. Karabo rejects this amount. Three hours after their meeting, Karabo informs Simbere of his acceptance of P450 000.00. Simbere tells Karabo that he has changed his mind and is no longer interested in the house. Explain the legal position to Karabo
