Debunking Psychology Myths

Description This paper should be at least three FULL type-written pages in length, double spaced, with standard one-inch margins, in 12-point Times New Roman font, and with a separate title page that includes the title of your paper and your name. (Note neither the title page OR reference page count as the three pages). DO NOT write in the textbox! Before reading the article, explain your own, personal thought about the topic you chose. Do you think this statement is true (accurate) or false (inaccurate)? Do you think it’s true or false only under certain conditions? Why do you personally think this? (ex: common sense, personal history or experience, experience of a family/friend, learned/heard about this somewhere before – in school; media, etc.). Summarize the article and results and cite in APA style. Compare/contrast your initial thoughts to your summary of the research article. Did the article support your initial thoughts? What are your overall reactions? Are there any potential dangers to believing in psychological misconceptions? How do you think psychological misconceptions develop? What are things we can do to correct for this?
