Background/Overview of the research
A short overview of your research
the key issue(s) that you wish to investigate, and why these are important.

how will it contribute to knowledge in the field?
In this crucial section you should make clear both:
(i) what it is that your research will do that has not been done before, i.e. the original contribution of your research.
and
(ii) why this research should be done: i.e. why your research will be of interest/the imperative that it be carried out/what its impact or value is.
(B)
How does the proposed project differ from existing research? Explain how the proposed study builds on the extant research on the topic.

Theories / Literature review
Proposals should include a well-developed narrative about the theory behind the proposed research question(s) to be addressed.
Discuss a brief of the importance of previous related research and how your own research question might make a useful contribution to the area.
Summarize the number of many studies, both supporter and against the hypothesis in two paragraphs or three (Paragraph) and have their explanation of the gap (Knowledge Gap), and how the researcher seeks to bridge this gap?

Statement of the Research Problem/ Hypotheses/ Research Questions

Describe the main objectives of your research, providing details of two or three key aspects.

This section should identify the information or data that you will need in order to address the central issue of your research, how you are going to access the material and the possible research methods or techniques that you will use. You should also include some reflection on potential problems that you may face in the research process (access to interviews, primary material etc).
