FE681E Strategy & Management Control

Test 2 entails a written and oral assignment on current topics in the field of Strategic Management Control. Students choose an optional topic and write a discussion paper, based on their work with articles published in scientific journals, which proves their knowledge and critical thinking about the connection between Strategy and Management Control. This assignment is executed individually and also requires compulsory active participation and oral discussion in seminars.

INDIVIDUAL WRITTEN PAPER

Each student writes a paper on an optional topic in the field of Strategic Management Control with the aims to: (1) enhance personal knowledge on that specific topic, (2) highlight the current scientific debates on that topic, (3) reflect on and think critically of the connection between Strategy and Management Control, (4) increase the capability to search, select and work with scientific articles. The paper has to respect the following requirements. CONTENTS: The paper should include the following six parts: 1) Front page including  code/name of the course + name of the teacher + title of the assignment  title of the paper (i.e. to be identified by each student)  author’s name/surname/e-mail address  date of submission (1 page) 2) Introduction including  an explanation of the selected topic (i.e. make sure that readers who are not familiar with the topic can understand it!)  description of the working process followed to write the paper (i.e. how was the topic selected, how was the related literature searched and chosen, difficulties, etc.)  description of the purpose and structure of the paper (please, do not copy-paste the overall aim of the assignment – see above)
