Native and ‘The Whites’ Art Comparison

The lives of the natives were indeed dull, and this was because the whites had taken most of their property, especially towards the time manifest destiny was about to take place. It is also true that the whites were obsessed with manifest destiny, claiming that it was a divine calling and duty for them to expand northwards, as shown by different types of art and especially by the art of John Gast, known as American progress painting. The natives had art that depicted their manner of life and their lack of trust in the northern expansion as the best thing to do. However, some of the natives thought it was an idea to amass a lot of wealth, and therefore the whites were to stop taking their wealth, and even though not internally willingly, some of them supported this move. However, generally, their art depicts a lack of support while their white counterparts supported this movement very much.
