Students will produce a written essay that focuses on three strands:

1: Using a destination of your choice for illustration, write an explanation of the planning process tour operators undertake when selecting a new destination to bring to market.

1: To investigate 2 tour operator’s   product portfolio typology’s and make a reasoned argument for the introduction of a new niche tourism based product.  Your recommendations should be supported by reference to current trends within tourism.

3: You need to look at and analyse and compare the social media and web sites your chosen tour operators utilise for their marketing / promoting destinations to reach their target markets
