Significance of Getting Involved in Political Campaign

Political stability is an essential element that every nation needs for proper running of the government, economic development and maintenance of peace as well as unity. It is not only critical in national level but also in international and organizational level such as in learning institutions. Politics are sensitive to people’s well-being not only in getting the intended seat or benefiting in any other financial basis but also in building confidence, fighting social justice, taking part in shaping country leadership, chance to know the candidate and to get the challenge of a new experience. It was clear after interviewing some citizens that many of them are not involved in politics, and at the end, the same people speak ill about governance blaming the active leaders of thousand misconducts whereas they had a chance to select credible ones. First, let us discuss the significance of getting involved in political campaigns to a profound extent followed by the impacts of the involvement to peoples’ lives.

Politics are inevitable in the society as people need leaders to lead them, make decisions and guide them on the way of doing things. Therefore, by not participating in politics, one is not only ruining the development of the society but also the personal well-being of the individual members. Many questions linger in people mind regarding why vices such as corruption, bribery and nepotism are common in the society (Green & Gerber 2015). The primary cause of these depravities is terrible leadership, and bad leadership comes as a result of selecting wrong people to represent us at the higher levels. For instance, look at the example of lousy student leadership in a college. The students’ issues will not be addressed in accordance this resulting in dangerous actions such as striking and inconveniences in learning strategies. However, if during the elections all the students fully participated in choosing capable leaders all the problems could not have been experienced.

To cope up with the challenge of lousy leadership people need to be dedicated to the act of participating in political campaigns. It is not possible to judge a person by the physical appearance and the sweet word he or she uses to attract vast masses of followers. Politics involvement enables one to precisely do thorough research regarding the participation and contribution of the candidates to the community (Huddy, et.al 2015). Also, there is adequate time to compare the manifestos of various candidates vying for the same position and end up with the right decision.

In consideration of the given an example above regarding lousy leadership in a college, students may come out in large numbers to elect the prominent candidates, but this is not prudent. The candidate may be famous regarding financial capabilities but does not have good leadership qualities which the community involved deserves. By fluently being involved in politics makes the civilians vote in the right candidates and they are the final beneficiaries of good leadership. Individuals may enjoy the funds and other prices offered by the politicians during the campaigns, but at the long-run, they will be the one affected by lousy leadership qualities. If the leader is there for financial gains and not giving back to the society, strictly do not waste chances by casting a vote for him or her. It is mandatory not only to the present but also the future generation (Powell & Cowart 2015).

From the discussion above, it is of great benefit to one’s life and society at large to participate in political campaigns. A political stability nation and institution always have good leadership, and this comes with the dedication of people to participate in politics. Participating in political campaigns leads to political stability as well as social-economic development in a community. Be the cause of a change terrible ruling in the society as a person and the end joint efforts will lead to perfection.
