Sorouh Real Estate Company is the second largest property developers in Abu Dhabi. It was started in June 2005 with the aim of developing real estate projects in the region. Its vision was to transform the emirate into a key destination. The company plans to expand to other areas such as Dubai and oversees especially North Africa. They plan to make acquisitions by establishing companies in Morocco and Egypt, which will execute projects in residential, commercial and lodging constructions.

A Board of Directors composed of seven members run and manage Sorouh Real Estate Company. The members of this team are professionals in real estate development and are skilled leaders in the corporate world. Mubarak Mattar Al Hamiri is the chairperson of the Board while Abubaker Seddiq Al Khouri is the managing director. Other board members include Yousif Mohammed Al Nowais, Ali Seed Bin Suleiman Al Falasi, Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Ahmed Khalifa Mohammed Al Mehairi and Salem Al Mazrouei. There is also another team of ten, which forms the Executive Management team. These include the Chief Operating Officer Gurjit Singh, Chief Strategy Officer Paul Warren, Chief Commercial Officer Fahad Al Ketbi, and Richard Amos who is the Chief Financial Officer. The other five members are executive directors of different sectors in the company. Paul Middleton represents sales and marketing, Khalifa Dhaheri represents property development, John Hopley represents Corporate Finance, Treasury and Investor relations, Aly Sabry represents Finance and administration while Donovan Joseph heads the legal sector. However, some members of this team are also part of the Board of Management, for example, the managing director Abubaker Seddiq Al Khouri.

Sorouh rests right at the center of Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is increasingly transforming into a city of business development and investment internationally and locally away from the traditional oil industry. Thus, it is leading in sustainable development in the world since it offers the right environment. Abu Dhabi has become the new home for families and businesses because of the conducive environment it offers. It has people’s needs at heart as it pursues its projects because it acts an integral member of the community. Consequently, it provides people with the best residential and commercial units. Therefore, Sorouh has found a home for its endeavors in Abu Dhabi since it has an excellent environment. It has contributed a tremendous feat to the future of Abu Dhabi.

Technologically, Sorouh is well advanced, and it uses top-notch technology in its constructions. It scooped the Cityscape award for the best-completed mixed-use development, in one of its projects, Sun and Sky Towers. Together with Gate Towers, these structures are Abu Dhabi’s landmarks fitted with modern facilities and technology for residential and commercial purposes. Lately, Sorouh won an award in the 2012 ICT Achievements Award. It received the Construction and Real Estate Deployment of the Year Award in Dubai. Previously, the company had won awards in Business Intelligence implementation and Development of ERP-Integrated Portals in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Sorouh employs and implements latest technology through innovation and optimization of available resources.

Sorouh Company stands tall on a curved penthouse bridge structure, which is the world’s highest penthouse bridge structure with 16 penthouses. The structure was completed in four sections, with the latest fourth and final lift being the 65-storeyed Gate Towers. The Gate Towers were established in Al Reem Island for residential development project. It was erected into position at 245 meters in four days, but lifting the four sections of the penthouse took four months. Each penthouse will be double-storied with peculiarly laid out floor plans and architectural designs. In addition, they will have prestigious entrances, family living rooms, living areas, guest rooms, dining rooms, house cleaners’ rooms, indoor swimming pools, bedrooms and kitchenettes. The first two sections 750 metric tons each and 40 by 30 meters in measurement. The last two structures weighed 500 metric tons.
