System Thinking in Healthcare Environment

System thinking in the healthcare environment provides the knowledge and skills for managing and administrating healthcare organizations. An individual is required to pursue Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA). This paper examines the summary of the beliefs in MHA, expectations gained from MHA, benefits of MHA to the current position and organization, and the structural behavioral and intersectional relationship between MHA and the organization. It also describes the system thinking diagram that maps the stock, inflow, outflows, and feedback.

Summary of the Believes in MHA

I believe the MHA Program degree enables an individual student to advance the health professional career by taking a leadership role in financial organizations and healthcare delivery. It also provides the framework through which the healthcare plans get undertaken by an individual healthcare administrator by giving the healthcare and administrative coordination and direction in a wide variety of healthcare delivery (Delgado et al., 2018). Also, the program enables the graduates to exploit the career opportunities in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consulting, and player organizations that create a paradigm through which contemporary health, financial and human resource management get achieved by an individual or organization.

What I Expect to Gain from MHA

I expect to gain a competitive edge, creating professional attraction in the management of health sectors. The professional attraction creates a dimension through which an individual healthcare administration professional effectively handles the healthcare management business that impresses the employer. Also, I expect to gain management security in the healthcare industry because it is insulation from violating the job market. As a result, I can quickly work in crucial administration and management of various healthcare positions critical to the operation of healthcare facilities. Going through the master’s in health administration is a tool that prepares me for the executive leadership position (Linnander et al., 2017). Therefore, I will gain further knowledge of professional ethics, health laws, administration, and project management. Moreover, it encourages the learning of the practical skills that prepares the employees in an organization to achieve contemporary real-world practices in healthcare.

Benefits of MHA to my current Position and Future Growth within the Organization

MHA creates a skill that enables me to acquire a strong sense of accomplishment. Also, it creates future flexibility in the management as per the concern of future growth (Linnander et al., 2017). Most importantly, the MHA creates demand in the healthcare environment since it is a propeller of experiences, making the organization have planned approaches in all administration sectors.

Structural, Behavioral, and Intersectional relationship Attributed to My Current Employer Organization.

MHA enables an individual graduate to create frameworks for managing the organization structure to achieve healthcare sustainability. It also provides knowledge through which an individual’s behavior gets changed by the knowledge acquired in healthcare administration (McIntyre-Hite et al., 2015). Furthermore, the changes in structural management framework and behavior in the administration enable the current employer organization to review the management planning by initiating the contemporary healthcare management approaches for the economic and social growth in the healthcare system.

System Thinking Diagram Mapping the Stock, Inflow, Outflows, and the Feedback Loops

Figure 1: The Systematic Thinking Diagram Mapping Stocks, Inflow, Outflow, and the Feedback Loop (Richardson & Andersen, 2010).

Stock describes the materials and the equipment available for the administration of health facilities. The feedback loop gets created when the change in the healthcare organization’s supply affects the flows into and out of stock. As such, the amount of money in the organization’s bank determines the interest that will be exhibited in the account. Consequently, inflows determine the revenue earned by an organization because of the conduction of major healthcare businesses, which comes from private players and government sources. Furthermore, the outflow determines the revenue used in purchasing the equipment (Delgado et al., 2018). The inflow, outflow, and stock depend on each other and the feedback that enables the organization to keep the records.

Conclusion

MHA encourages comprehensive administration and management of healthcare organizations. Comprehensive management is exhibited through setting goals and plans and changing the managerial behavior for the organization’s benefit. As such, students should pursue MHA for sustainable healthcare management.
