Typing Guidelines: It must be typed. Use Times New Roman, 12 point font. Use zero indentation on the right and left while using zero spacing before and after. Minus ten if incorrect. Use regular black ink only, not bold or any other color. Please single space your paper first. Once the paper is finished, double-space it on standard size paper to avoid extra spaces between paragraphs. No cut and pasted papers will be accepted. There should be no bullets, numbering, charts, graphs, or diagrams throughout your paper. Minus two points each time you use one. Use paragraph format only. Minus one point for every extra space between paragraphs since this space could have been used for information.

Numbering Pages: Each page should be numbered using the complete title of your paper which should be located at the top right corner as a header along with the page number. Click insert. Click page number. Click top of page. Click plain number 3 (for top right hand corner). Do not use acronyms, short hand, abbreviations, or put your last or first name with the year in the header. Minus five if incorrect. 

Cover Page/Page 1: In the center of the page, insert a colored picture of/ or relating to your topic. Centered below your picture, include your name, date, Bio 2113 or Bio 2114 and the instructor’s name using; instructor: (colon) Mrs. Prince. Minus five if incorrectly labeled.

Introduction/ Paragraph 1/ Page 2: Please press the tab key once before beginning this paragraph so that it will be recognizable. Reference Page/ Work Cited Page/ Page 4: Please use the attached reference in text/ work cited page only. This provides you with the only acceptable references that can be used to complete this research paper. 

Articles: You must provide copies of all used articles and attach them to your research paper. Be sure to highlight the used information on your sources in order to show where the used information came from in case I or any other reader needs to reference the content. Please do not include pages that you have not highlighted any information. You must highlight every used sentence. You may not draw a box, use brackets, parenthesis, stars, asterisk, underline or anything else to identify the used information. When using a You Tube video, you may provide a screen shot of the video website with handwritten dictated information. You will then highlight your used information. 

Due Date: Please see your projected learning schedule for the due date and time. I WILL NOT ACCEPT A LATE PAPER or any part of the paper late. You may submit your paper early if you are not going to have the opportunity to submit it on time due to being unavailable or not having access to the internet or a computer. 

Submission: All students must submit your paper, library assignment form, and articles as an attachment in the research paper drop box located in the research paper folder. No part of this paper may be emailed to me. It is ok if you load your paper and articles separate if the file is too large.

Reference Page/ Work’s Cited Page
Instructions: You must choose three different sources of the five provided resources below. In other words you may use this internet website (mayo clinic) only with a journal, a magazine, a book, and/or a You Tube video of your choice. Please do not number your references on your reference page. You will only receive credit once if you use a source more than once. Any resources used outside of the five assigned types will not receive any credit for the paragraph or the citation. 

When using a journal, magazine and/ or a book, you must cite your source using parenthesis with the authors last name first, (comma) and then p. for the page number the information was found on. Example: (Tortora & Derrickson, p.216). When using a YouTube video, you must cite your source using parenthesis with the uploader’s last name, (comma) and the full length of the video. When using the provided internet source, you must type the web address in parenthesis. Please only cite your resource one time at the end of your paragraph since each paragraph will be from a different source. Minus five each time the source is typed any other time in the paragraph besides at the end.
