There are various

There are various vital strategies in which one can including academic activities and accomplishments into your personal development goals. It is essential that one evaluates the academic and personal impacts of the activities or achievements. It is important to take into consideration the benefits gained from taking on a new academic activity or completing an achievement. It is also important to evaluate how academic activity or accomplishment will improve your personal development goals.

If you are considering having a high GPA, it may be wise to complete an activity that would help you achieve this goal such as taking courses in calculus, statistics, and sociology for three hours per week. If you want to develop a skill such as public speaking then you can take part in extracurricular activities such as speech contests. Nurses can also create and maintain a solid portfolio. This will assist them in identifying their strengths and learning needs.

From the above strategies and considerations, the nurse should consider how to balance the three components of personal development. One should also consider their ability to achieve personal development goals. The nurse should remember that it is not easy for them to achieve their personal development goals as they have to juggle between their professional obligations and these goals (Watt, 2022). It is also important that they consider how many activities are needed in order to reach one’s goal. The nurse should make a plan on how they will manage such activities by having a realistic time frame so that they do not get overwhelmed by all the responsibilities of being a nurse.

Setting realistic goals is also another strategy. A nurse should be able to set goals that are achievable (Cope & Murray, 2018). At last, the nurse should also consider the importance of their professional role by maintaining a balance between their role as a student and their role as a practicing nurse. A good strategy is to keep in mind that one’s academic achievement will get them promoted. Hence it is not worth sacrificing these achievements for one’s professional obligations.

The next step is to have patience and be persistent in achieving your goals. At last, nurses should be able to recognize their strengths and weaknesses so that they can have the skills that would help them increase the possibility of achieving these goals or activities.

Walden’s Vision for change

Empowering students to make a change in the global scale is one of the key visions of Walden University’s visions for effective social change (Social Change, n.d.). The university does this by addressing the challenges that tend to deter them from making a difference in their profession and in the world around them. Walden University has made significant and laudable contributions to the global community. It does this through its initiative towards helping students to make a difference in their professional fields and in the world. The university has put policies in place that help students enhance their academic performance which is evident from the number of students graduating top of their classes. It is also evident in the number of partnerships that Walden University has with institutions, companies and organizations who are involved with research and social change across the globe.
