Specific Question:

Both Blake and Whiteley as artists are preoccupied with the process of seeing, with what seeing means and does. Whiteley for example has a self-portrait in the middle of Alchemy with a sight line connecting his eyes to William Blake?s ?Grain of Sand?.

Part 1 (1500 words) Describe and contrast what it is that Blake and Whiteley see in four Blake plates ( 2 plates from The Marriage of Heaven and Hell and 2 plates from Blake?s engravings to The Book of Job) and two panels from Brett Whiteley?s Alchemy.
