. Write a five-page (double-spaced) paper on a critical analysis of your socialization within the first ten years of your life. You will do this by reconstructing your childhood within the existing social structure, its conditions and demands that influenced your opportunities and experiences – class, race, ethnicity, education, occupation, support networks, family income etc. Search for artifacts from your childhood – toys (texture and colour of material used), clothing (specify style and colour scheme), hair styles, photographs, your behavior, relationships as well as the activities relating to the social interactions and networks that you had during this period. Imagine how your typical day will be like, and how these artifacts have shaped your life and the nature of your current views, experiences and relations.
2. Marks will be deducted if students go over five (5) pages.
3. Cite at least five (5) academic bibliographical sources, which focus on the themes and theoretical perspectives of the course. Three (3) of the sources should be from your assigned readings. Your bibliographical sources should be on a separate sheet (page 6). Textbook – Kimmel, Michael S. and Holler, Jacqueline. 2017; two from the reader – Kimmel, Michael S., Aronson, Amy and Kaler, Amy. 2015 and two additional sources.
4. Use APA format for your referencing and bibliographies. A copy of the APA format will posted on virtual campus for easy reference.
5. Use one inch margins, and 12 pt Times New Roman font. Do not change the font size or margins.
