A good global curriculum

-Use the reading I provide as reference, you can use as many as you want
-The essay instruction is also uploaded in the additional file, use that version, the format in this page is not exactly right

1. Describe a content area that may be a good global curriculum?
-An objective for choosing that topic area? (why needed, why important)
2. What expertise do you think is needed in teaching the content you have chosen?
3. Target age of students
4. What will the students learn?
-What are the skills students need, to effectively gain knowledge and understanding of your proposed content/topic? (if any) Are there specific skills needed to engage in specific action?
-For example:
—If the content area was… social justice; peace and conflict; sustainable development,
—The skills needed may involve…critical thinking; ability to argue effectively; cooperation and conflict resolution; ability to challenge injustice and inequalities.
5. Implementation: Through the proposed course/curriculum/workshop, what are the students going to be doing in class to obtain those skills. Describe.
-Delivery of instruction (hands on, lecture…)
-How long do you think the instruction should be?
—Multiple phases/parts/segments to learning?
—Two-day workshop? A semester long course? One session?
-How is your approach (i.e., instruction) unique compared to other forms of instruction (e.g., other online educational instruction, or traditional instruction)?
6. Specific setting (formal or informal? Why?)
7. Evaluation: Describe how you are going to measure and make sure that the students gain that skill.
8. Gather information/resources
-Where do you think you can find relevant resources for the content area.

There isn’t a right or wrong answer.
