1. Research Paper (Literature Review) – The research paper gives the student an opportunity to consider their viewpoints and perspectives on how children develop cognitively and on their role as a/an counselor/educator/psychologist. Particular attention should be paid to the dynamics of the social/emotional developmental perspective in children. All written assignments should be completed in APA format. A minimum of 5 references must be cited in the literature review. Four of the five references must be peer reviewed quantitative journal articles within a 15 year period. A template will be provided that will help you organize each journal article based on the most relevant information for the literature review.
