case study.

Assignment 1 Quaker Industries has been experiencing tremendous attendance problems with its nonunionized employees. The Human Resources manager, Jerry Cooney, believes that both attendance and tardiness would improve if Quaker hired employees who had more discipline. Based on his personal experience, he wants to hire only employees who graduated from a Catholic University (for example, Notre Dame, Seton Hall) for manager positions, and parochial schools for the general work force. Fearing potential lawsuits from non-Catholics he asks you, Quaker’s in-house attorney, to approve his plan. Issue an opinion letter to your client outlining the legal position in England. Instructions: (1) Format: IRAC (2) Individual work (3) Minimum 1000 words.  What is important is the substance NOT the word counts.
