Justice Studies Internship and SeminarFinal Paper Instructions

Justice Studies Internship and SeminarFinal Paper InstructionsOn the last day of class, Monday December 3, 2018, you need to turn in a 7-10 page reflective paper using the following guidelines:1. The paper must be typed, double-spaced, 12 point font, edited and free of grammar, spelling and word usage mistakes.2. You are to refer back to the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the semester and reflect on and observe your progress (or lack thereof) toward these goals: (personal statement goals, knowledge, skill, personal growth and career goals). Indicate those pivotal moments which moved you from observer to full participant. What skills/effort/strategies did you employ to make that transition? Name and discuss obstacles that you overcame. Assess what you – as a person and an employee – contributed to the internship and the work environment.

Please also discuss the ways you pushed yourself or strategies you used to delve deeper into the culture of your internship as well as the actual work. 3. You may refer to (BUT DO NOT COPY) prior journals and field notes to help you in examining these goals if they help you.4. In addition, please discuss as part of your reflective paper, moral/ethical issues/dilemmas you observed in a professional context at your internship site. Please include a description of the issue, the potential impact on individuals or the community, the challenges you saw, what impetus or challenges you encountered in confronting the dilemma as well as how you handled it. Please also discuss lessons learned from this experience and how you might change your response according to the knowledge you gained in this internship.
